Mark D. Lentz, DMD

Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics

Dr. Mark Lentz was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. His undergraduate degree was in chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, and he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He continued his training to complete a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration, Pittsburgh Healthcare System. He subsequently returned to the University of Pittsburgh to complete specialty training in endodontics.  One year after completion of his endodontic residency, Dr. Lentz successfully achieved the prestigious Board Certification status of Diplomate.

Dr. Lentz is heavily involved with research and outreach in endodontics.  He presented original research at the annual session of the American Association of Endodontists regarding the fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth.  In addition, Dr. Lentz is serving as a member of the American Association of Endodontists Corporate Relations Committee.  Dr. Lentz is also very involved with continuing education and is the founder of the Annapolis Spear Study Club.  He is also a member of the Chesapeake Study Club, Chesapeake Implant Study Club, and Anne Arundel County Dental Society.

Dr. Lentz is married and has two children.
